Who we are

Richmond Leisure is an adult gaming centre operated by Landmark Entertainments Ltd, 112 Shirley High Street, Shirley, Southampton SO16 4EZ. We are the data controller for the information described below. You can contact us in the venue, on 023 8077 1028, or by email at info@richmondleisure.co.uk.

What we collect, and why

• CCTV. The venue is covered by CCTV, recorded for the safety of customers and staff and the prevention and detection of crime.
• Age verification. We operate a Think 25 policy. If you are asked for photo ID we look at it to check your age; we do not keep a copy unless the law requires it.
• Promotions. If you join the new customer offer we keep the details set out under “The new customer offer” below.
• Self-exclusion. If you self-exclude we keep the details needed to honour it, including through any multi-operator scheme covering these premises.
• Phone calls. If you call us we do not record calls or keep your number.

The new customer offer

Landmark Entertainments Ltd trading as Richmond Leisure is the data controller for the information we keep when you join the new customer offer. You can contact us about it at info@richmondleisure.co.uk.

• What we keep. Your first name, surname and mobile number, whether you are happy to receive offers by text, and the date and time of each £20 claim along with the member of staff who gave it. Staff confirm that they have checked your photo ID, but we do not keep your ID details or your date of birth.
• Why. To run the offer fairly, including making sure each person only joins once and receives the offer correctly. We do this to provide the offer you have asked to join (contract) and because we have a legitimate interest in preventing misuse.
• Texts. We only text you about offers if you have said yes. You can change your mind at any time by emailing info@richmondleisure.co.uk.
• Your private link. You can check your progress through a private link. It shows only your first name and your days.
• Where it is kept. Securely with our service providers, Supabase (hosted in London) and Netlify.
• How long. We keep your details while the offer runs and for 12 months after it ends. We then remove your name and mobile number. We keep the claim records, which no longer show who you are, and a coded version of your mobile number that cannot be read back as the number. We use it only to stop the same number joining the offer again.
• Your rights. You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how we use it, by emailing info@richmondleisure.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

This website

This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and collects no personal information. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the standard technical request data any web server receives. Links to Google Maps and BeGambleAware take you to those organisations’ own sites, which have their own privacy policies.

Who we share information with

We do not sell or share your information for marketing. We share information only where we have to: with the Gambling Commission or licensing authorities on request, with the police for the prevention or detection of crime, and with self-exclusion schemes we participate in.

How long we keep it

CCTV recordings are kept for a limited period and then overwritten, unless they are needed for an incident. New customer offer records are kept as set out above. Self-exclusion records are kept for the period of the exclusion plus the time required by the scheme’s rules.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we no longer need it.
